LTT: Austin (and Florida) Edition
As I type, I’m sitting on my couch drinking a glass of Chocolate Cherry Truffle wine (Crossing Vineyards) and making final preparations for the Austin leg of the LTT tour. I’ll be working out there from the 26th through the 30th of this month—Thanksgiving included—and I’ll be teaming up with a film crew from Arcos Films for two of those days.
They’ll be shooting for an amazing project Arcos has in development: the Mental Health Channel. MHC will be the world’s first channel for mental health programming, a revolutionary new network to engage, entertain, offer help and build awareness. The approach will be honest, respectful and well-informed.
Over the next 18 months, MHC will launch 12 original series, broadcast commercial-free over the web. All episodes will be viewable free on their website, at any time, by any audience. They’ll be organized by series, as well as searchable by disorder, theme or issue.
I’m so excited to be working with them.
As for the meet and greet promised to all of the wonderful people who backed the Kickstarter campaign (if you missed it, you can donate to the project here at any time), that will be going down on Friday, 11/29, at Mugshots at 9pm. We’ll drink and chat there for a bit, and then we’ll head over to Oilcan Harry’s, because dancing is mandatory after a long week of work. If you can’t make it because you live on the other side of the country, stay tuned to the Facebook page (Twitter too!) for updates over the course of the week.
I recently set the dates for the Florida leg of the tour, as well. I’ll be working in Miami from January 2nd through 6th, and Orlando from the 7th through the 10th. It’s been about two years since I’ve been back home, so I’m looking forward to eating all the Cuban food I can possibly cram in my mouth… and maybe a trip to the Magic Kingdom, too.
Last but not least, I just got a new shipment of LTT t-shirts and tote bags! They make great gifts, and all proceeds go right back into making the project bigger and better. If you want to nab one of those bad boys, click here.
That’s all I’ve got for now. Hope everyone’s keeping warm.
